New day in Uganda! This morning I have been put on the crew for building trusses. I was worried at first, because there is a lot of nailing involved. Coordination is not my stronghold. God has been gracious though. I hesitantly volunteered to help next and started to hammer quite well actually. Even the staff guy teaching us was impressed. I must profess that it was not myself God was the one giving me skill for that one. Praise, praise to God.
I love how much less pressure there is here. They know how to work, get water, provide food etc. but after that they are free to be. There’s not something constantly nagging like in America.
I want to pray for my parents as they should be in China right now. I pray that they are being moved by what they are seeing and that God would do something in and through them.
Oh, from this morning: I have a new appreciation for construction people. We were only nailing, but I was exhausted. I can’t imagine doing that all day in the hot sun. I owe them a lot of respect.
When we were headed back from doing laundry and there was a big, scary, loud, black…..cow. He was blocking the path. Scary.
